Uhm, yeah.. RLOD/YLOD.. got the red light of death.. power on, green light, flash once yellow then red 3 times with 3 beeps.
so I’m not gonna be on for a while, I’m gonna try fix it, but I need a heat gun, and some heat paste. The idea seems to be that the CPU and or GPU has a dry joint and need to be re soldered. You can do this by using a heat gun at about 350C to below the solder.. good idea!
So I shall probably get a slim tomorrow.

SO crap! I guess I will go buy a ‘slim’ today… 160GB oir 320Gb Hmmm i’ve lived with 40GB for years! I guess If I use up the 160GB, I can always drop in a new HDD..
If the slims are a shite as people say, I can always try harder to fix my beloved fatty..
